Through extensive engagement efforts spanning various sectors, CESDA is spearheading a comprehensive survey to gauge awareness of climate change and its societal impacts among diverse stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>CESDA&#8217;s survey initiative encompasses the six area councils in the Federal Capital Territory: Abaji, AMAC, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali. Our dedicated team has employed a range of methods, from online surveys to in-person interviews conducted in multiple languages, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary findings from our surveys have uncovered critical insights into the prevailing awareness levels and challenges faced by communities. From dried-up streams and wells to rotting farm produce and health concerns, the impact of climate change is evident in everyday life. However, the survey has also revealed significant gaps in understanding and resources, particularly in marginalized communities.<\/p>\n<p>Armed with these insights, CESDA is committed to catalyzing positive change within these communities. Our initiatives include educational campaigns to raise awareness, advocacy for sustainable practices like water conservation and organic farming, and collaboration with stakeholders to develop resilience strategies.<\/p>\n<p>CESDA recognizes the interconnected nature of environmental and social challenges. Beyond climate change, our surveys have highlighted pressing issues such as lack of access to clean water, inadequate sanitation facilities, and insufficient hygiene resources. By addressing these challenges holistically, CESDA aims to promote environmental health and social equity.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, climate change is not just an environmental issue\u2014it&#8217;s a shared responsibility that demands immediate action.
