In a bid to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time, the Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Development Awareness (CESDA) is proud to announce the launch of its upcoming X (Twitter) series focused on climate change education themed “Mitigating the Impact of Climate Change: Educating for a Sustainable Future.”

At CESDA, we are deeply committed to advancing climate education and empowering individuals and communities to take action against the growing threat of climate change.

With this in mind, we have curated a series of engaging and informative sessions that will explore the multifaceted challenges of climate change and highlight the critical role of education in mitigating its impact.

Through this series, we aim to:

  • Raise Awareness: Educate our audience about the science, causes, and consequences of climate change, fostering a deeper understanding of this pressing global issue.
  • Inspire Action: Empower individuals to take meaningful steps towards sustainability by providing practical insights, strategies, and resources for climate change adaptation and mitigation.
  • Foster Dialogue: Create a platform for open and constructive dialogue among diverse stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, activists, and community members, to exchange ideas, share best practices, and collaborate on solutions.

Each session of the series will feature expert panelists and thought leaders who will share their insights, experiences, and expertise on a wide range of topics, including climate justice, gender equality, sustainable development, and more.

We invite you to join us on this transformative journey as we embark on our first session titled “Understanding Climate Change & Its Effect in the Society” on the 13th of March, 2024. Together, let’s explore the complexities of climate change, exchange knowledge and ideas, and work towards building a more resilient and sustainable future for generations to come.
